Week 10 Our course is over

Week 10

        It is hard to believe this course is  end. I have got so many thing from this course. My teaching style is different now . I love to teach with interactive ppt . My students love them too. It is quite different now in my class. Before this class begin, my students are shy to speak in front of the class. As I am teaching them with  interactive ppt, they are very eager to speak. My favorite article is one computer class room. I am so happy that I had a chance to join in this course. I also thank our instructor so much for guiding us. I feel sad because this course is end.

Week 9

 

 This week I tried to finish my project report.  I was sad because my peer did not give me feedback on my project. I did not know why. But I was happy to read the different types of learners.  As far as I concern, most of the students are visual learners. After that , I took part in Nicenet discussion about new technology that can help my students. This course is going to finish soon. So, I am collection tools and other articles which will be useful in my teaching. As I mentioned in my report, I have been using technology tool in my teaching. If the students are happy in their learning, it will be a lot easier for them to memorize some words.

Week 8

This week was  a busy week for me. The most important thing is report. It seems to work with my students with technology tools in teaching. I had many difficulties in launching  this project.Firstly,  some of my students were not familiar with teaching with the aid of technology tools. Now , they are getting used to it. Me myself was not learned with it in the past. But I tried my best to cope with technology tool. I found the changes in my students. They become very eager to learn English .Teaching with technology tools is more effective than traditional ways. Most of the program in this course are interactive activities.And also hot potatoes is nice. I did not  know that we can create puzzle or quizzes easily. I can not help my self to stop in creating quizzes with hot potatoes.

Week 7   Learner Autonomy

                This week was awesome. Because I got to know about learner autonomy. Before that, I did not know so many application with one computer only  in the class. The articles are very interesting because they let us know to help learners to set their own learning target. The hard part of this week was that final project. I was too busy with activities in my university. But I am happy to do my final project. Big  thanks will go to Donna for assigning my partner to do peer view.  This week was  very busy one for project . There is one thing that I worry so much that is I have not finished my final project. But I hope that I will finish it in Wednesday.

Week 6 Reflection

Week 6  Reflection

      

 This week is amazing.  Because I found out how to engage students and technology aids. Before that I used to solve my problem with traditional way.  One of best   articles in reading is how to make interactive PowerPoint.  I used to think that PPT is just simple way to present normal presentation.  Reading articles was not a case. Making one of them drove me crazy. It took me three days to make interactive Power Point.  The important thing is to implement final project. I am so excited to do it.

Week 5

Week five was good for me. But one things is that connection. As usual, the connection problem is still need to be solved . I do not know how to solve such kind of problem. The connection rate 1kb/s .Webquest is kind of challenging for me create one.  When  many people posted link to nicenet I was amazed. How  did they do that?  I though that I was not able to make one for my own. Finally, I was able to make one .Actually, I spent  two hour searching on how to create my own WQ. Finally, I was able to register  in on the site . I immediately remember that it is my chance to create for my final project. I can not deny that  it is good web tool for the students. As it was our extra credit this week to make a WQ, I decided to do it as much as I can. I needed to add some more details, clarify some details .  I think this will be excellent opportunity for them to learn, enjoy and develop themselves.

Week 4 Technology -Enhanced Lesson Plan

  This week is quite different with the passed ones because of the three  articles about integrating technology in teaching reading, vocabulary and writing I managed .  After I surfed some sites  ,  I found one is interesting for me because it discuss the problems that I am facing now. This time I strongly recommend following sites for teachers :  http://iteslj.org/Techniques/Krajka-WritingUsingNet.html.  They are worth spending your  time surfing for best ideas !

  After that I worked on my Enhanced Lesson Plan. As I am teaching grammar to my students, my lesson plan is how to teach grammar to my students. The final task was to describe issues or problems in the class that has  to be solved by using new technology tools.  That is not a easy part for me, as my university can not afford enough computer for my students.

Week 3

Week 3 ( Reading)

 

 There was a lot of  reading in this week. First, I thought that there was not so much reading for this week.  One of the obstacles for reading is internet connection in Myanmar. I felt alittle scare about reading when the connection is down.When I began to read paper that I downloaded from website, I thought they were tiresome and too literature   for me, but, some time later I found that it was so interesting.But I enjoyed reading them.It was  interesting for me to explore the suggested sites, in particular those aimed at developing listening and speaking skills. Some ideas that  give me  how to do better in teaching techniques.In Myanmar, most of the teachers  like to teach just grammar, not for oral and aural skills. They normally do not put them in their teaching plans. These readings t helped a lot  me in  thinking on oral and aural skills,

Week 2

             There was a lot of things to do  in week 2. It is more interesting to read than first week. It is quite complicating to read at first, but later I came to understand the Bloom's Taxonomy. And then I printed out and keep it in my file for further reference.
             The next thing I did was online surfing for web. Searching the materials that I need for teaching is confusing , I could find the right web address that is good for me.I did not realized that there are so many search engine. I just know google and yahoo. All the search engine suggested by Donna is really nice. The teaching method which is called ABCD model is effective for my students.
                 At first, I did not understand ABCD objectives. After reading carefully Donna's post, I came to understand it. I have not used it before for my students. But I need to do a lot more to understand the objectives.
                  Finally, I am so happy to see my grades on blackboard. It gives strength to try  hard in my learning.

Dear Teachers,

                     This is my very first time to create blog. I am not familiar with creating blog. But it it great to create blog. I did read many kind of blogs in my life. But I never have created any one.It is because of my lacking computer skill. I need to get this skill as I want my students to create blog in my education society. I would like to learn to improve my skills. I think we do not need to worry if we are not good at creating blog . I hope everyone will be able to create blogs next few days. It is a good ideas that this class has blog society as we can share our thoughts and ideas.
