This week is quite different with the passed ones because of the three articles about
integrating technology in teaching reading, vocabulary and writing I managed . After I surfed some sites , I found one is interesting for me because it discuss the problems that I am facing now. This time I strongly recommend
following sites for teachers : http://iteslj.org/Techniques/Krajka-WritingUsingNet.html. They are worth spending your time surfing for best ideas !
After that I worked on my Enhanced Lesson Plan. As I am teaching grammar to my students, my lesson plan is how to teach grammar to my students. The final
task was to describe issues or problems in the class that has to be solved by
using new technology tools. That is not a easy part for me, as my university can not afford enough computer for my students.
Thanks for reading.
Hello Zaw,
ReplyDeleteI see that you have absolutely same problems as all of us have. I also like the article about Using the Internet in ESL Writing Instruction. my favorite part is activity part where is is carefully described the type of activity, process and possible outcome . I especially liked part 7: A Description of a Festival of Ceremony. I gave this kind of assignment to my students , a year ago, and I had absolutely same outcomes as it is described here, although I asked students to make paper presentations and put them on the classroom walls. What about you? what part you were fascinated with?
one more thing, don't worry about lack of computers , computers are the tools to help teachers , but teachers are creators.
greetings from Serbia
zeljko
Dear zeljko_KV,
DeleteThank you for your reading. I can say that we are in the same boat. But I still can not give such kind of assignment to my students as they need to be improved in Grammar.
Hi Zaw,
ReplyDeleteAs far as I and Yuliya understood you teach at university, right? Aren't there enough computers for you to use with your students???
Well, in the past there were no computers - I learnt English without them and so will your students ;) As Zeljko says, teachers are creators, and I would add - real MacGyvers!!! (Remember?)
Greetings from distant Portugal,
Alex
Dear Teacher Alex,
DeleteThank you for reading .It is not wrong to say that we have quite a bit of computer in my university. But the language lab I can use during my teaching is not very good. Most of the computers are not in good conditions. Once again, thank you for encouraging me!
